Lifecycle

How issues move through stages

From a raised problem to the archive — through research, debate, drafting, and voting. Each stage has its own rules and timelines.

Discovery

An issue is raised. Basic structuring and recruiting of participants is underway.

Stage 3

of 6

Drafting

A working group or the community drafts proposals.

04

Stage 4

Appeals

The process for appealing decisions

Any decision can be challenged. This is not a formality — it is a real mechanism.

Step 01

Notification

The member receives a notification describing the violation.

Step 02

Response window

48 hours to submit an appeal with an explanation.

Step 03

Review

A different moderator (not the one who made the first decision) reviews the appeal.

Step 04

Decision

The decision is published with a justification. The outcome is final.

Moderation

How moderators act

Moderation is not censorship. It protects the quality of the environment.

An explanation for every decision

No silent deletions. Every moderation action comes with a justification.

Distinguishing disagreement from abuse

Sharp disagreement is not a violation. Violations are threats, disinformation, and spam.

A multi-level system

Warning → temporary restriction → ban. With the option to appeal at every step.

A public log

All moderation decisions are visible in the audit trail. Anonymization only if personal data is involved.

How groups form

Working groups, initiative associations, and the Issue Committee are formed by clear rules, with reputation thresholds and transparent criteria.
